Deciding to come to one of the most talked-about bagel spots in LA at 1:00 on a Saturday was definitely a self-inflicted punishment. From arrival to the first bite, our order of 1 pull apart bagel and 4 bagel sandwiches took around 45 minutes due to the line out the door and what I presume to be the made-to-order nature of their items (ordering online is your friend). Definitely on the pricier side, so don't be too surprised if your breakfast costs as much as dinner. They have ample outdoor patio seating and quite a few tables inside, and their large windows and high ceilings keep the atmosphere bright and open. Habanero Calic: Not sure why I expected a cheese pull, but I was surprised when I pulled the bagel sections apart and realized they were cream cheese. The bagel itself had a nice crisp exterior and very fluffy crumb, which was a great contrast to the richness of the cream cheese. Garlic butter was sweet and salty, with a good amount of spice from the habanero and worth a try. I can see the novelty wearing off though, and the flavor profile might not be to your liking if you like either sweet or salty and not a combination of the two. LA Lox: One of the more notable lox bagels I've had. Dill + cucumber + pickled onion was a great combination and the scallion cream cheese kept each bite flavorful. Smoked salmon on par with most restaurant-quality versions. "Stress Dissolver" Mango Sour Ale (canned): sweet and sour. Solid beer. Will probably be back once the hype dies down and my wallet is in the mood.

have had this place on my list for quite some time, finally got to try it out! there's free parking in the structure nearby, which is always a plus. when i got here, there was a short wait. they had a kiosk on the side that you could order from, but wasn't sure if it was working until 10 mins later a staff member mentioned it.. wish i knew earlier so i didn't have to wait in line as long lol inside has a few spots to sit and there is plenty of spots outside, it frees up occasionally. they were sold out of the pizza bagel :( i'll have to try it next time the bagels came out warm and delicious! i'd say they had the perfect bagel to cream cheese ratio when you spread it on each bite. the classic garlic has a tremendous amount of garlic flavor (loved it) but also a hint of sweetness. the cream cheese was fluffy and whipped. the habanero bagel packed a kick! wasn't overwhelmingly spicy but definitely a good amount of spice. this bagel had a little crust on the bottom which added a delightful crunch to the bagel. loved the hint of sweetness in this cream cheese as well. both were very flavorful and fluffy bagels! so so yummy! decadent and heavy but worth the try :)

I initially discovered Calic on TikTok, and today was my third visit. I'm obsessed with these bagels! The Signature Calic is my favorite. It's stuffed with garlic cream cheese and dipped in garlic butter. I would recommend ordering ahead of time because the lines can be long. I waited for around 20 minutes today, but got my orders within 10 minutes during my previous visits. There's a free parking lot attached to the building, which is a plus. They also have a nice seating area both inside and outside. I highly recommend it!

First time visit and I came with my mom and toddler. We ordered 2 signature Calics, plain bagel and plain cream cheese, iced vanilla oat milk latte, and a hot one, and OJ. Total with tip was just about $50. We really enjoyed our bagels! I asked for it to be extra toasty, but the lady said they were already made, but warm. I just rolled with it. And it was actually perfect. There's a little crunch to the bagel which I enjoyed. The garlic, butter, and cheese really worked well together. I truly felt satisfied. My mom really enjoyed her bagel as well and her coffee. She's super picky about her coffee so when she gives a coffee compliment, she means it. Parking was easy and underground. We ate outside in the patio and it was a great Saturday morning. Also it was around 8:30 AM, so we were able to order right away, our items were still in stock, and the area was still pretty quiet. The lady taking orders wasn't too friendly. No greeting. No smile. I gave her a compliment and she just stared at me. Service and that first encounter really goes a long way. If she were even remotely pleasant, I would've given 5 stars easy.
